About

The Friends of the Kentville Public Library Society is an enthusiastic, progressive, committed community group, which has recently formed and registered as a non-profit society for the express purpose of building a new, full service library in Kentville. As a diverse cross-section of the community, we bring a wide variety of strengths and abilities to the project, not the least of which is a determination to see it through to completion. As the momentum for this project grows we find growing support for the new library.

Upon completion of the new library, The Friends will take great pride in turning complete ownership and maintenance of the building over to the Town as previously agreed upon. The Annapolis Valley Regional Library will continue to provide staffing and library services to the facility. We believe that this landmark library will give rise to increased civic pride and enhance the growing recreational and leisure opportunities in our town, thus making this community a better place to live and work. We see this collaboration as a win-win proposal for all involved.
